How The Benchmix High Shear Lab Mixer Works

• Precision scale of the mixing heads of our high shear lab mixers allow for complete validation, process qualifications and Q/C analysis of pharmaceuticals, food components and cosmetic formulations.
  
  
• High intensity, 1/2 Hp brushless DC motor on our benchtop high shear lab mixers provide for a 500 to 10,000 rpm operation under a wide range of conditions (viscosity, density and percent of solids).
  
  
• The pilot plant models (XP-02 and RS-02) operate at 3600 rpm providing the ideal tip speed for most applications. Speed controllers are available as an option on our high shear lab mixers for reducing the mixing intensity in thinner formulas.

• The OPLB-300 high shear lab mixer provides a digital display of tip speed, mixing intensity and pumping rates, allowing the operator to qualify and validate the process with as little as 1 to 12 liters (1/4 to 3 gallons), while providing the guidelines necessary to scale up to larger volumes.
